You will be joining the Global Financial Crimes Advisory team supporting the J.P. Morgan Payments business in EMEA. You will be the primary Advisory interface to our Product partners within the J.P. Morgan Payments business to lead the financial crime review of new products and services and provide challenge to ensure the core pillars of our Financial Crimes Compliance framework are upheld and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions controls remain robust. You will have the opportunity to materially contribute and develop the Financial Crimes Compliance framework through your deep knowledge and experience of European and Global AML and Sanctions laws, rules and regulations. You will work globally across the J.P. Morgan Payments business to identify and escalate AML, Know Your Customer (KYC) and sanctions-related control issues on new business strategies, and identify risks and proposed mitigation strategies through partnering with global stakeholders in the business and various compliance teams across KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions advisory and line of business compliance.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead financial crime advisory for the J .P. Morgan Payments business and ensure new products are services are assessed to ensure AML and Sanctions controls remain robust
  • Provide financial crime advisory related to the J .P. Morgan Payments client portfolio that includes Fintech (including third party payment processors), Foreign Correspondent Banks, Non-Bank Financial Institutions and Corporate entities
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for driving compliance with applicable financial crimes laws, rules, regulations, adhering to JPMorgan policies and applying sound ethical judgment
  • Provide advice to client relationship managers and internal stakeholders on due diligence requirements to help mitigate financial crime risk
  • Foster strategic dialogue across client coverage teams on emerging opportunities and build efficiencies in new and existing processes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Strong knowledge of AML and Sanction requirements - global policy, national requirements and industry practice
  • Strong understanding of the Payments business, products and client base
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written, including the ability to convey complex ideas and concepts in a clear manner appropriate to the audience
  • Ability to establish good relationships with other parts of a large organization
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, owning the issues and having the determination to follow tasks/issues through to resolutio
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple deliverables
