Job responsibilities
- Lead financial crime advisory for the J .P. Morgan Payments and Commercial Banking businesses in EMEA.
- Provide financial crime advisory related to client portfolios that include Fintech (including third party payment processors), Foreign Correspondent Banks, Non-Bank Financial Institutions and Corporates.
- Ensure new products are services are assessed and subject to challenge to ensure AML and Sanctions controls remain robust.
- Review the escalation of significant client matters and provide recommendations for appropriate risk mitigation.
- Provide advice to client relationship managers and internal stakeholders on due diligence requirements to help mitigate financial crime risk.
- Issue identification, co-ordination and escalation through our governance structures.
- Develop, enhance and maintain financial crime related management information .
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong managerial and leadership skills developed in fast-paced environments.
- Strong knowledge of AML and Sanction requirements - global policy, national requirements and industry practice.
- Knowledge of European, Middle East and Africa banking/clearing tools like Wire, ACH, Direct Debit and RTP (Real Time Payments) and new emerging payment trends.
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written, including the ability to convey complex ideas and concepts in a clear manner with a senior audience.
- Ability to establish strong relationships with other parts of a large organization.
- Proactive approach to problem solving, owning the issues and having the determination to follow tasks/issues through to resolution.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple deliverables.
