The opportunity


This Assistant Director position is a critical role in the global Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team and sits within the overall Global Talent BMC organization. The role is responsible for leading and developing global DE&I programs that engage our leadership, partners, all EY people, as well as our external stakeholders.


Your key responsibilities


  • Develop and implement integrated internal and external Global DE&I BMC programs to position EY as a leading DE&I brand.
  • Collaborate with the Global Talent Communications and Engagement team, as well across all BMC (including Brand and PR), Global DE&I team and EY senior leaders to build relevant, timely and innovative internal and external communications programs. This includes the development and deployment of a consistent communication plan (including content, creative assets and toolkits) that reaches key audiences globally, while allowing for local input, customization and integration of messages in appropriate channels.
  • Identify opportunities and strategically position DE&I across multiple channels and functions (including leadership communications, Talent, CSR, Sector, Service Line, Markets, Professional Networks) as well as at key global internal and external events.
  • Manage our internal and external digital channels, including pages on EY.com and DE&I video library, to present the best content and compelling user experience for our audience.
  • Oversee reporting on the reach and impact of initiatives through monitoring campaign metrics, evaluating engagement effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement
  • Help enable an effective stakeholder management strategy, activating key stakeholders across global leadership around the DE&I agenda.
  • Some global travel might be required pending business needs.

  • Ability to synthesize information from others, share knowledge and connect all facets of the business when initiating, developing and implementing initiatives
  • Sees learning and development as a critical input to delivering exceptional client service to BMC clients; seeks to inspire
  • Ability to become a trusted business partner to the Global DE&I BMC Leader; operate with a client service mindset; demonstrate knowledge, skills and intelligence concerning global business and DE&I fundamentals, competitor analysis and cross-cultural/geographical sensitivities
  • Proven ability to work across geographies and cultures, navigate complexity and in virtual teams
  • Ability to deliver on EY and BMC strategic priorities; align BMC initiatives with EY’s performance goals; achieve the desired results; communicate the BMC value proposition


To qualify for the role, you must have


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent area of study or experience)
  • Substantial brand, marketing and communications experience in a world-class global organization
  • Experience leading business communications for large complex global programs with proven and demonstrable results
  • Experience in preparing senior leadership presentation materials, pre-reads and other communication materials (including key messages, creative assets)
  • Strong experience in digital communications
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness experience a plus


Ideally, you’ll also have


  • Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with senior-level stakeholders and a sense of curiosity to learning and applying best practices.

What we offer
The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary range/s.
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $101,900 to $184,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,300 to $210,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
