The J.P. Morgan CEEMEA Debt Capital Markets team works with sovereign, corporate and FIG clients across CEE, CIS, Turkey, Middle East and Africa on international financings in public and private markets.
The team is the long-standing market leader in its field - recognised as the No. 1 CEEMEA Bond House multiple times over the last years - and has acted as the arranger of the majority of landmark transactions from the region.
The core products that you will cover and offer to the clients are new bond originations (Investment Grade and High Yield) and liability management (bond buybacks, exchanges and changes in covenants). You will also assist with execution of the corporate ratings advisory product.
The role will provide you with a significant exposure and insight into all aspects of investment grade, high yield, bank capital and ESG debt products in both, public and private markets. You also will have a significant opportunities for client interaction from Day 1 and require close working relationships with other areas of the bank, including Industry Coverage, Legal, Country and Credit Risk, Syndicate and Sales groups.
Job Responsibilities
- End-to-end origination, structuring and execution of debt capital markets transactions working closely with the senior team members / deal team leaders (organizational aspects, legal/documentary, helping with internal approval process, marketing materials and transaction pricing, etc.).
- Management of debt execution process.
- Preparation of client marketing and pitching materials, drafting of the regular market updates.
- Participation in the client meetings.
- Preparation of analytical overviews of clients and their businesses.
- Maintenance and update of the internal databases, occasional team administrative work.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Front office experience in investment banking, asset management or markets roles.
- Understanding of general corporate finance, macroeconomics and conventional financial instruments, ideally some experience in financial analysis.
- Good academic credentials coupled with a strong interest in emerging markets.
- Excellent organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail. Must demonstrate a hard working ethic and dedication to team work.
- Fluent in English - oral and written communication skills with additional language skills: Turkish or French, advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office applications: PowerPoint and Excel; prior experience with Bloomberg, Bond Radar and Dealogic beneficial.
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
