We are looking for a Global Advanced Analytics Data Scientist with a passion for advanced analytics solutions who will make a significant impact on blue-chip companies, embarking on an exciting challenge to significantly improve our global analytical capabilities. Utilising industry-leading consumer information and statistical techniques, you will help our customers address their toughest marketing-related issues and identify opportunities to grow.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the role out and continued development of a new suite of software solutions that require advanced analytical procedures embedded within them to meet the increasingly complex needs of our clients. To do so, you will work with an international community of experts combining best-in-class data collection and preparation through top-end, efficient analytical thinking culminating with dynamic final client results. We are embarking on an exciting new challenge to significantly improve our analytical client driver offer and this position will play a pivotal role in bringing this to market.
Throughout 2022 we have been rolling out globally a new suite of over 20 software solutions built with best-in-class advanced analytical procedures embedded within them. These will be linked to a new question led narrative putting the Kantar Worldpanel consumer data at the heart of addressing the ever increasingly complex needs of our clients. Our need is for someone who can support the analytical roll out of these solutions, as well as manipulate methodologies where required, working with a wider community of experts both internally across Kantar Worldpanel but also across our biggest and most challenging clients. Key metrics will be driving penetration of solutions and clients as well as ultimately growing and nurturing new revenue streams.
Key outcomes
- Work with Kantar Worldpanel local and global advanced analytics team, as well as senior commercial leads and key clients to sell, produce and deliver best in class outputs across our suite of new analytical solutions.
- Apply a range of statistical techniques and modelling processes to transactional and attitudinal data to help deliver innovative solutions to answer our clients’ business questions.
- Work on the development of new skills, new analytical approaches and new ways of representing insight to constantly improve our offer.
- Acting as an analytical expert on key global projects, providing advice internally to ensure that our approaches and outputs remain best-in-class and are fully understood by senior partners.
- Become an expert in both our clients and the methodologies you apply. Feed this expertise back into the rest of the team and business to drive continue improvement and innovation.

Collaborate with others to help transform consultative project work into repeatable analytics and production applications within our delivery platform.
Capabilities
- University degree in a mathematical/scientific field, preferably with a statistics element.
- A Masters-level degree in a closely related subject area (statistics, data science, etc.) and/or professional experience in analytics and modelling.
- Proven experience in applying statistics, data science and machine learning to solve business questions ideally within a FMCG/Retail/Media setting
- Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis and visualisation using R. Additional experience with Shiny and package development desirable.
- Experience with other data science languages and frameworks (Python/Spark) as well as coding experience in other languages used across our business (Java, JavaScript, C++) desirable
- Experience working with, and deep understanding of the detail behind relevant modelling techniques – clustering techniques, GLMs, decision trees, ensembling techniques etc.
- Fluent in English (other languages are advantageous).
- Experience working across our tech stack which includes - Java, Spring, Angular, Databricks, Spark, SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes all running in an Azure environment – beneficial.
- Applying analytics applications in production settings.
- A self-starter working across various levels of partners to form complex briefs while pushing back where appropriate to achieve best outcomes.
- Working well as part of wider project teams.
