About the role
You will be part of a team that delivers an exceptional experience every day for our customers internally and externally.
You will be building and supporting our Digital Workplace with Microsoft 365 tooling and a range of security applications.
To be successful in the role you will need to have broad experience of supporting and maintaining Microsoft 365 in a corporate environment.
6/12 Months Key Objectives
- Develop and maintain expertise in Microsoft 365 technologies: Acquire in-depth experience and proficiency in technologies such as Azure AD, AD, Exchange, Certificates, Teams, SharePoint, and the M365 toolkit. Stay updated with the latest developments and features of these technologies.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft 365 and related technologies: Serve as the go-to person for Azure AD/AD, Teams, OneDrive, and MS Exchange, providing expert guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders. Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
- Enhance Security and Compliance Manage identity management policies and systems: in securing our assets and ensuring compliance with our Info Sec standards. By implementing appropriate security measures, such as multi-factor authentication, conditional access policies, and identity governance.
- Collaboration and Integration: Azure AD integrates with various Microsoft and third-party services, such as Microsoft 365, Azure resources, and external identity providers. you are expected to manage the integration of Azure AD with other systems, enabling collaboration across platforms and simplifying identity management.
- Develop future strategies for Microsoft 365: Formulate and propose strategic plans for leveraging Microsoft 365 products and services within the organisation. Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and efficiency, and contribute to the development and execution of long-term technology strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: The technology landscape is constantly evolving, and a successful outcome for an Azure AD engineer involves keeping up with the latest features, best practices, and industry trends. Continuously improving your skills, staying updated with Azure AD advancements, and proactively suggesting enhancements to the identity management infrastructure can contribute to long-term success
What we’re looking for
- Experience working in an Agile Methodology environment
- Experience working as a Senior / 3rd Line Engineer on Microsoft Technologies in a similar scale environment.
- Office 365 knowledge and skills spanning Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, SharePoint, Power Platform, etc.
- Windows Server infrastructure skills/background would be beneficial.
- General Active Directory / Group Policy management skills
- Experience in scripting (PowerShell /Power Automate/ VBScript)
- Strong documentation abilities
- Experience using ITSM tools and a strong understanding of ITSM (ITIL) best practices
- You will also be expected to manage a portfolio of different technologies and systems.
- You will be expected to respond to major Incidents outside of normal working hours.

- Salary £55,000 - £65,000
