Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Deputy Editorial Director, Director of Editorial Operations, Market Content Leads and Growth Manager to oversee the global editorial content calendar and ensure that all teams collaborate to ideate to important universal themes and cultural moments applicable for the brand.
- This role will review the global lineup for story pitches and is responsible for overseeing content outputs for Vogue planning across all platforms and markets. They will ensure that all editorial teams have a strong awareness of the content pipeline via the lineup (Airtable) and throughout the stages of production.
- A strong editorial instinct as well as an in-depth knowledge of the brand’s successes and future direction coupled with a fluency in reading data-informed reports to help steer the brand’s strategy and reach new audiences across platforms is essential.
- Manage content outputs from a large dispersed team of editors, writers, content creators, photographers, translators, and strategists with a positive, community-building approach that respects different cultures and nurtures the junior talents to align on global projects and support with local content packages.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- A proven track-record successfully partnering with editorial teams across all platforms at a deputy or senior level in an editorial environment is essential.
- Experience working for a global company or at an international level.
- Excellent communications skills and natural team leader.
- Highly organised and confident in establishing and maintaining new workflows that can be easily adopted by international teams.
- Confident using technical systems for workflow management and having a strong interest in evolving workflows to become more efficient and streamlined.
- Experience building relationships remotely and across cultures and timezones.
- Proficiency/fluency in two or more languages is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of translation management is a plus but not required.
- Experience using editorial programmes (such as InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and AirTable).
- Experience working with translating data analytics to operational outputs.
A basic understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them in digital copy as well as navigating and using a CMS.
