As part of the Global Alliances team, you will play an integral role in helping KPMG member firms meet their alliance-enabled growth ambitions; promoting consistency and collaboration and helping to ensure that KPMG becomes the most trusted choice for our clients.
Role summary
To meet the firm's aggressive growth agenda, there is a need to effectively leverage the firm's global alliances and ecosystem relationships, capabilities, and sales teams. This requires embedding alliances across KPMG's Lines of Business, particularly Advisory, and the digital transformation suite of solutions, where KPMG does a majority of its technology enabled transformation sales and delivery.
Working closely with the Global Alliance Director for Strategy & Growth, the Global Alliances Growth Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the global strategic alliance portfolio for consulting, including global coverage and investment needs. He/she will drive and manage cross functional collaboration activity and end to end thinking focused on joint value proposition and solution development that will tangibly move the dial in how KPMG teams leverages the firm’s global ecosystem of alliance partners to support our clients.
The Global Alliances Growth Manager will help drive and manage cross functional collaboration activity, end to end thinking, and solution development that will tangibly move the dial in how KPMG leverages the firm’s global ecosystem of alliance partners to support our clients. This role will be responsible for assisting the Global Alliances Strategy & Growth Director to shape the strategic alliances portfolio, global coverage and investment priorities. The role will also help scope and drive execution of pilot initiatives aimed at embedding alliances into Global Consulting service lines and transformation suite of solutions, particularly Connected, Powered Trusted. A smaller focus of the role will be to support Alliances interlock and enablement with other KPMG Collective Priorities, including ESG and KDN. The Alliances ecosystem is more complex than ever so a major focus of the role will be helping coordinate across various stakeholder groups that need to work together effectively to achieve the firm’s collective growth ambition.
- Work closely with the Global Alliance Director for Strategy & Growth to drive the strategic alliances agenda and priorities for consulting
- Collaborate with counterpart executives across Consulting service lines and solution areas to drive critical projects, strategy formulation and problem-solving
- Support Global Alliance strategic planning including the development of planning guidance to global, regional and member firm leadership
- Help translate the Global Alliances Growth Story into simple and clear communication for wider consumption by KPMG senior leaders and teams
- Help define and maintain Global Alliance Strategy that is published internally on the firm’s global intranet page
- Prepare materials on behalf of the Global Alliances Director for Strategy & Growth that go to the Global Consulting Steering Group, Global Advisory Steering Group and Global Board & Council for input and/ or decision making
- Shape strategic alliance portfolio and investment priorities for Consulting, covering service lines and solution areas
- Help organise collaboration forums that bring together alliances and KPMG functions and solutions to explore alliance based growth opportunities
- Define and manage portfolio of alliance enablement initiatives aimed at embedding alliances across the Consulting business and digital transformation solution suite (Connected, Powered & Trusted)
- Work with various KPMG stakeholder groups (Alliances, Consulting, KDN, Sectors), as needed, to ensure alliance enablement initiatives progress and track well
- Collaborate with the Alliance teams in the KPMG member firms and help align with their counterparts in Consulting, where needed
- Evaluating alliance reporting and helping identify and execute improvements that result in improved quality of alliance enablement and business reporting
- Analyse alliances performance and develop insights that can be used to drive action and decision making
- Liaise with Global Alliance Directors for input and support on strategic planning and/or global alliance growth initiatives, where needed
- Define and maintain an overview of strategic global alliances including a registry of key alliance products & solutions
- Develop alliances related market and competitor analysis, as needed
- Constructively challenge leaders in Global Alliances and Consulting to improve leadership and investment decisions
- Stay on top of the plethora of KPMG internal communications to identify areas of relevance and/or impact for ongoing strategic initiatives
- Help identify and/or write client success stories with alliances that help illustrate the impact that working with alliances has for the firm
- Support Global Alliance Director for Strategy & Growth in ensuring applicable leadership team meetings are well run and preparation completed ahead of senior meetings

Experience & knowledge
- Strong portfolio and/or project management experience
- Outstanding business partnering skills and an ability to effectively navigate a complex matrix global organization
- Consulting experience in the technology enablement / solutions area with a track record of shaping, selling and/or delivering complex services and solutions
- Previous experience of working across functions and geographies
- Prior experience with KPMG consulting and/or alliances is nice to have, but not essential
Technical skills, abilities & qualifications
- Ability to break down complexity and communicate it to executive leaders and a large organization
- Top-notch quantitative and analytical skills for extracting logic, insights, and meaningful conclusions from complex business problems
- Time spent with an international company working with key stakeholders across different service lines an division, preferably in a strategic capacity
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global colleagues including working with different cultures, in different time zones and in different formats (online and offline)
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to structure documents and quantitative analysis turning them into convincing storylines and presentations for executive level interaction
- A ‘can do’-attitude to ensure things are acted upon in a complex constantly evolving global business environment
- Motivated, pro-active, and hard-working team player who is results-driven, action oriented and outcomes focused
