Job description

Due to continued expansion Mallon Technology requires a GIS technician to join our team for an 11 month project.

The GIS Technician will work within the GIS team, which is one of the key teams within Mallon Technology. The main purpose of the role will be to carry out core GIS tasks and project work including data capture, image interpretation and reporting.

Duties:

  • Data capture of spatial and attribute information according to established procedures.
  • Conduct georeferencing on scanned images.
  • Support with the delivery of digital map-based solutions using ArcGIS.
  • Working to a high level of accuracy.
  • Liaise with other teams, clients and other companies to resolve queries.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous Data Capture experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications.
  • Ability to analyse and resolve problems.
  • High level of organisation and professionalism.
  • Must operate in compliance with Mallon Technology's Quality and Information Security Management Systems.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs inc. Maths and English or equivalent

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience using ESRI ArcGIS or other GIS Software.
  • Degree in a Geography / GIS or related field.

Requirements

  • UK right to work required.
  • Ability to commute to Cookstown office.

Duration

  • 11 month project

37.5 hours per week. Early finish Friday @ 14:30.
