We’re looking for a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Developer to join our Highways team in Exeter. Location: Exeter with agile/hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime (Part-time hours available if desired, just let us know)
Salary: Up to £35k + 26 days of annual leave + Benefits

Responsibilities

As a GIS Developer, you’ll have a comprehensive understanding of GIS technology and the ability to write custom scripts using ArcPy along with other Python libraries to automate GIS workflows.

Your day to day will include:

  • Assist in the maintenance of GIS and asset data and offer support functions as required
  • Working with Applied Digital Solutions (ADS) department and assist in advancement of GIS and supported solutions to the wider Kier business to drive increased value and efficiencies
  • Provide a dedicated GIS resource for scripting and automations
  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise geodatabases
  • Develop custom scripts to automate GIS processes and perform advanced spatial analysis

Who are we looking for?

This role of GIS Developer is great for you if you have:

  • Strong background in working with Python and SQL queries
  • Experience with ArcPy and the ArcGIS for Python
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
