The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Art Technician to provide general support to the department. The successful candidate will be working as a crucial member of a professional team to support student learning across the department with time split across the subjects. Key responsibilities are the preparation and day-to-day maintenance of teaching areas and equipment, providing technical assistance to teachers and students. The successful candidate should possess a good knowledge of Art and any Photography experience is desirable. The ideal candidate will have the foresight and organisation to plan practical lessons, facilitate the preparation of materials and compose stimulating classroom displays.
The department has 4 large art studios including a sixth form studio space and a dark room. The teaching team are dedicated to the education of our students and show this through a dynamic and broad curriculum.
We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate the highest standards of delivery in order to raise attainment. In addition, applicants will be strong communicators with the ability to manage motivate colleagues and students.
