Full time: 5pm finish. 4 or 5 days from 7, including one day of the weekend
Part time: 5pm finish. 3 days from 7, including one day of the weekend

Our latest expansion, opened in November 2020, sees our gift and clothing department grow in size. Located on our first floor, our gift and clothing hall hosts a wide range of unique and household brands including Barbour, Joules, Seasalt, Voyage, Sophie Allport and Wrendale Designs. With our new expansion we now stock many more popular and unique brands; Emma Bridgewater, Hug Rug, Dunoon, Ariat Footwear, Mackenzie & George and Chapter Organics
Attention to detail is key - we create unique retail displays in-house and are continually adding new products each week to the shop floor. Our local customers visit frequently, and love to see our new displays and products throughout the year. Our customers from further afield visit us seasonally throughout the year so they love to see our extravagant festive displays at Christmas, and bright coloured homewares during the summer months. A continual change and impeccable upkeep of displays and stock is a must to ensure the best shopping experience for each customer.
Candidates require:

Main duties to include:
- Working on the checkouts and delivering high standards of customer service
- Maintaining high standards of visual displays
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness of shop floor
- Keeping work place clear and tidy at all times
- Creating retail displays for both gifts and clothing products
- Dealing with new deliveries, checking items and pricing ready for the shop floor.
- Replenishing stock on the shop floor throughout the working day
- Stock management
Our ideal candidate will have a positive, pro-active work approach and will; ensure all tasks are completed each day, the shop floor is kept replenished throughout the day and fully replenished at the end of each day, the shop floor is kept with impeccable cleanliness, and will deliver the highest customer service.
Training given on the job, and is on going throughout your time at Mainsgill. We are a family-run business with a very hands on approach. We all work as a team to provide best service and products for our customers.
Experience is desired but not essential in a retail/customer facing role and have enthusiasm for the new exciting role.
We operate with set-days of work each week (no rota).
