The Geozone Operations Controller role will support the operations leadership team in day-to-day business management and provide analysis and support in decision-making in all matters operationally, financially, and strategically.

Weatherford have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Controller to join the team in either Aberdeen, UK or Stavanger, Norway.
The Geozone Operations Controller role will support the operations leadership team in day-to-day business management and provide analysis and support in decision-making in all matters operationally, financially, and strategically.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety & Compliance
- Maintains safety and service quality as a first priority when working across all areas of the business.
- Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activity is carried out ethically and in compliance with Company policies, relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practices.
Process Excellence
- Business partner and financial support to Geozone and Country leadership teams.
- Become key stakeholder in product line decisions to drive the business to achieving enterprise targets across income statement and balance sheet.
- Prepare monthly financial reviews to indicate where/how improvements can be made.
- Track key deliverables/KPIs to ensure escalations occur as required and project performance can be managed.
- Support in KPI improvement across DSO (days sales outstanding)/DTI (days to invoice)/Inventory/Collections.
- Ensure all Countries are operating together in the best interest for the Geozone.
- Drive win rates up by actively taking part in commercial decision-making processes and analysis, make commercial risk transparent during the BSA (business strategy analysis).

Coordinating and directing Countries in:
- Preparation of the budget, forecast, reporting and variance requirements.
- Other Corporate/Geozone Operations requirements, deliverables and timelines.
- Ensuring all internal Weatherford policies and Financial Policies are applied consistently.
- Monitor day to day business and alert leadership team of any potential risk or issues.
- Review / track process improvements in underperforming areas (PL & Countries) to ensure executed as planned.
- Co-ordinate with FP&A to ensure accurate and timely Geozone feedback to Corporate.
- Support corporate month, quarter, and year-end close process.
- Assist with operations team finance development and training as required.
- Perform adhoc analysis and problem solving/finding root cause of issue as required.
People
Ability to closely collaborate and build strong relationships with different functions within the organization.
- BA or BS in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional qualification would be preferred – ACCA, ICAS, CIMA.
- Minimum of 5+ years accounting experience.
- Oil and gas experience would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills at both a strategic and functional level.
- Technical skills and experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- High degree of integrity, work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and desire to work in a team environment.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of ERP systems, JD Edwards, Hyperion experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines across multiple projects.
- Must be able to travel domestic and international – up to 20%.
