The service experiences your teams provide varies markedly from wrapping special gifts to the day to day running of the Valet Parking service. Every customer is important to us and you lead your team – whatever the operation - to give them the best experience, regardless of the time of day or day of the week.
- You being an active leader of ‘Operations Managers’ and flexing your style with your service focused team. You are relentless in driving this service focus and make sure that everyone understands the service expectations and the part they play in achieving them.
- “Right person, Right Place, Right Time” is core to your role in leading Harrods services. Ensuring that this is achieved daily is your constant drive. Where service is at the heart of what you lead and how you lead, ensuring that this mantra runs through all your operational areas is key to your success.
- Together with the Head of Retail Services and the Finance Analyst for your area, a key part of your strategic plan is budget management. You will set and own the Divisional budget(s) including P&L performance.
- Have the ability to multi-task and have the confidence to operate independently. You understand that without a buying partner to determine your business strategy, you must think ahead and plan the development and growth of all your operations. You will develop the proposition as well as the implementation and operationalisation of your well-considered plans.
- Be emotionally intelligent and self-aware, you have a good understanding of your own personal style, skills, and preferences and what to dial up or dial down to suit the operation and the individuals you have leading them.
- You know your people like your family, and you know you cannot deliver without them and their brilliant teamwork.
- Be resilient and tenacious, you understand that you lead service operations that require daily guidance to achieve the consistency and standards our customers expect from these services. This can feel relentless, but you thrive off making things better on a day-to-day basis.
- You are genuinely open to development feedback, continuously adapting your style to get the best outcomes for your people, customers and for the business.
- You will be agile in your thinking and comfortable with ambiguity and change, having experience of leading through change is desired but not essential.
