Assistant Legal Cashier/Office Manager needed to join our fun and friendly office team. Previous experience would be helpful but is not essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Accounts/Office Management Department. It Is primarily an accounts role involving all aspects of legal cashiering. The successful candidate will also assist the Practice Manager in the day to day running of the business. You will be busy and enjoy a varied role within Guest Walker.
We are looking for someone who has a positive outlook, is a team player and pays great attention to detail. We are a very flexible employer offering top rates of pay and good working conditions.
The main aspects of this job include: -
- Posting client funds· Setting up
- payments – CHAPS/BACS
- Posting bills
- Opening client data sheets
- Checking/posting Land Registry statements
- Issuing cheques and banking
- Client to office transfers
- Bank reconciliation
- Daily posting of office account
- Enter & pay purchase ledger
- General ledger queries
- Helping with deeds document storage
- General office administration

Full or Part time hours can both be considered and the hours can be flexible. The job is office based in the centre of York.
