Job description
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will play a key role within the Operations department and assist in ensuring the smooth flow of cylinder production through the filling house to meet on-time deliveries in the most effective manner.
You will be trained to complete all cylinder production activities including cylinder filling and pre / post quality checks.
The hourly rate is £13.25 for a 37 hour week with overtime available at premium rates.
All successful candidates must submit a NIAccess Report and undertake a medical examination with the Company Doctor.
Duties will include;
1. Adhering to all relevant work instructions and site polices at all times
2. Complete the safe loading and unloading of cylinders from pallets and trailers
3. Identify and segregate non Calor cylinders from the production process
4. External inspection of cylinders prior to filling
5. Segregation and safe storage of cylinders failing inspection
6. Filling of all cylinder types and sizes as required
7. Check weigh and thoroughly inspect all cylinders as required
8. Top up and de-gas cylinders as required
9. Carry out quality checks throughout the production process as required
10. Report any quality issues to the filling plant supervisor
11. Report all incidents, near misses and safety concerns
12. Complete general housekeeping duties to ensure workplace is kept clean and tidy
13. Complete work station training for new operatives as required
14. Assist maintenance team with non-technical duties as required
15. Embrace and support change through continuous improvements
16. Ad hoc duties as directed by your manager

Requirements
Experience of working in a manufacturing or production environment is desired
Clear understanding of health and safety in the workplace
Manual handling experience
Be able to effectively communicate and understand both written and spoken English
Ability to work as part of a team
Be able to understand and appreciate clear instructions for health and safety, work instructions
