General Manager - The Light, Redhill
The opportunity
The Light have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially driven General Manager with passion and vision to open to lead the successful opening of our exciting new venue in Redhill.
The Light, Redhill will be hosting a six-screen cinema, nine bowling lanes, a retro arcade, diner and bar and plenty more exciting and diverse leisure activities, all under one roof. As General Manager, you will ultimately be responsible for all operational aspects of our new venue. You will lead and oversee all areas of the business, taking a strategic yet 'hands-on' approach that prioritises guest experience and team engagement with the financial needs of the business.
The successful General Manager should have a proven track record in managing large venues with large teams and multiple offers, including a quality F&B offer. They will also have experience in opening new venues.
Our General Managers are expected to lead by example by living and demonstrating our values in order to provide a safe, engaging and positive work environment for our teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience that surprises and delights our guests.
About you
You will:
- have a proven track record in building and developing high performing teams
- have management experience from within a multi offer business or at an area level.
- thrive working with the teams on the front line
- be able to demonstrate great commercial acumen
- Demonstrable experience of delivering exceptional guest service
- have a solid understanding of food and beverage operations
- Have a sound operating knowledge of working with POS systems and other business systems for example Fourth
- Excellent knowledge on Food Safety, Health and Safety and licencing laws and regulations
- Knowledge and experience of managing a full P&L for a complex business
- Proven record of managing resources effectively
- Track record of managing stock and control cost efficiently
- Personal Licence Holder
