Wing Yip is the UKs leading Oriental Food retailer to the trade and public. Based in the refurbished store in Nechells, the company has been trading for over 35 years.
Wing Yip currently employs around 400 staff across it's 4 stores and are currently looking for new candidates to join the team in a number of areas in the business. Have you got what it takes?
About the job
Your main job role will include replenishing fresh, frozen and ambient goods. Additionally, you will be picking customer orders from the shop and warehouse areas which also include fresh, frozen and ambient goods.
This is a fast paced working environment and you will need to learn the product range to be productive in picking the goods.
Additional duties include:
- To assist the Stock Controller in any areas which you will be trained in and when required
- Cleanliness, layout and presentation of the warehouse, freezers and outside areas
- To mark up and put away all stock into locations.
- To pick all frozen and ambient deliveries.
- Undertake any other tasks as deemed appropriate that may be initiated by a member of the management team.
- To continue personal development and gain knowledge of all aspects of the business.
- Assisting customers with queries.
- Keeping the shop floor and warehouse areas clean and tidy.
- Replenishing stock levels in the shop floor and warehouse ambient and freezers
- Ensuring all chill chain and frozen food temperature regulations are followed.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
- Cover other areas of the business as required (following any further training needed).
