General Manager

Heather View is a countryside retreat nestled in the heart of the Durham Dales, with just under 300 pitches including 30 hire fleet. The park boasts a small on-park shop, outdoor play parks and the Riverview Bar & Grill, which serves food and drink right on the banks of the River Wear.
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time over 5 days a week. Will include working evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Location: Heather View Leisure Park, Stanhope, Co. Durham, DL13 2PS
About the Role: Our General Managers are responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the park, adhering to legislation and company policies, and maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction. Working closely with your Heads of Department you will inspire, motivate and develop all members of the team to deliver consistently excellent experiences for our holiday home owners, holiday makers and guests. As a senior member of the Verdant team you will lead by example and embody the culture and working environment of the park, driving positivity, communication and well-being.
About the Person: We are looking for someone with extensive holiday park management experience, and a proven track record for leadership, and inspiring and motivating a team. You will need to have excellent communication skills, a well-developed work ethic and a passion for the industry. To be successful in this role you will need to be adaptable, able to successfully juggle competing priorities and you should definitely love a challenge!
Above all, you will need to have the right attitude. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and so we expect you to do everything in your power to make their Verdant experience the absolute best it could possibly be. We don’t believe in ‘that’s not my job’ so you will need to be adaptable and flexible to help the wider park team meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.
