GENERAL MANAGER – SPORTS BAR & RESTAURANT
The Business
The Creamery is located in Falkirk allowing easy access to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Having operated for over 30 years, The Creamery is a well-established venue. The Sports Bar offers both Snooker and American Pool rooms as well as a comfortable lounge. Additionally, the 44-seat restaurant provides a cosy space and is extremely popular with regular customers drawn from a wide area. A further 24-seat area is available in the lounge while the seasonal outdoor area can seat 16 more.
The business operates 7 days with opening hours generally 11am to 11pm (early start Sat & Sun for breakfast service)
The Position
Due to a significant upturn in sales, an exciting opportunity has arisen within the business. We are looking to appoint a General Manager.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you would oversee the operation of all sides of the business with the aim of delivering the best customer experience.
As General Manager you will be key to ensuring and consolidating the success of the business whilst developing exciting new opportunities.
The post holder will be required to work rotation shifts that will involve day / evening / weekend cover.
Key duties include:
· Budget Management (in co-ordination with GM).
· Staff rotas / arranging staff cover / staff training / Holiday cover.
· Health & Safety and Premises management.
· Developing and marketing new promotions.
· Cash handling.
· Dealing with Suppliers / Monitoring margins.
- Staff Recruitment.
- Social Media management.
- Events co-ordinator (working with Food & Beverage Manager).
- Business & Community liason.
- Overseeing Customer Service charter.
The Person
We are looking for suitable applicants who possess the following skills and qualities:
· Previous experience as team leader / supervisor within the hospitality sector.
· Energetic and enthusiastic with a drive to maintain high standards of customer service.
· The ability to lead and motivate a team is essential whilst working under own initiative.
· A positive attitude that demonstrates flexibility, adaptability and problem-solving skills.
· Well-developed communication skills.
Qualifications & Training
· Current Personal License Holder.
· Relevant qualification(s) / training is desirable but not essential.
· Good levels of numeracy and literacy.
Entitlements
· Salary based on an average 40 hour working week.
· 28 days annual leave.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £28,000.00 per year
