Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + benefits

Overview

Are you an experienced logistics General Manager ready for a new challenge?

This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional to join a newly enlarged logistics group with acquisitive growth planned between 2023 and 2025.

The Role

· Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you will oversee the logistics performance across the entire site in our Thetford operation.

· Ensuring there is a strong health & safety and legal compliance culture.

• Collaborating and maintaining working relationships with logistics partners to ensure KPIs are being met.
• Lead an efficient, effective and happy team through support and clear personal and business goals.
• Responsible for the financial performance of the operation.
• Suggest and support continuous improvement initiatives and resolve operational issues to improve customer service.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure correct volumes are achieved.
• Communicate proactively with customers to promote positive relationships.

The Candidate

• The preferred candidate is a passionate, resourceful and well-organised individual.
• They will have strong communication and leadership skills and have experience in transport, planning, warehouse and ideally knowledge of pallet networks.
• A Transport Managers CPC is essential (national or international).
• A background in operations is essential.
• Must have a flexible approach to the workload with the ability to change and adapt quickly to meet demands.
• Strong data & analytical skills
• Must have excel and word experience along with being computer literate.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
