At Dale Farm, core to our success is our people, and have a rare opportunity for a key role to lead our flagship site at Dunmanbridge near Cookstown. This site is the largest dairy processing plant in Northern Ireland with an annual turnover of £300 million and processing in excess of 2 million litres of milk daily for the value added cheese retail market and sports nutrition whey and powdered milk.

About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Production you will have overall operational responsibility for the site production and leadership responsibility for all site employees. This is a high profile management role within Dale Farm and we are looking for someone who has a real passion for FMCG manufacturing and can demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and attributes
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of production targets and KPIs, optimizing all aspects of operational performance including efficiencies, cost, waste, yield and labour utilisation
- Proactively lead the management teams in continuous improvement activities using lean manufacturing techniques to deliver best in class performance
- Ensure that both employees and processes support and comply with applicable business, quality and technical procedures and comply with relevant safety and environmental compliance
- Manage all expenditure under your control, delivering value for money and prioritising spend to operate with budget
- Inspire and motivate the team you lead ensuring job expectations are monitored and reviewed and their personal growth opportunities developed
About You
To succeed in this role you will ideally have at least five years experience of operating at a similar level in an FMCG dairy manufacturing industry preferably within cheese, whey or fats and will ideally have a degree level qualification in food or engineering.
Demonstrable leadership skills are essential and you will showcase where you have improved engagement and retention across a workforce. With a high-level of commercial acumen, you will have previous budget management responsibility and a data-driven approach.
Proven experience of developing and driving strategy in a high volume manufacturing environment and of driving a culture of continuous improvement, you will also be safety focused, dynamic, highly organised with innovative problem solving abilities and demonstrate strong communication skills.
