Job Title: General Operative
Location: Cannock, United Kingdom
Pay rate: £10.42 Per hour
Shift: Weekly rotating shift pattern (6-2 / 2-10)
Absolute Industrial Recruitment are currently looking for General Operatives based in Cannock and surrounding areas. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a manufacturing processes. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, assist in warehouse activities, and contribute to the overall success of the production facility. This role requires individuals who are flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining factory machinery to ensure optimal performance and production output.
- Assisting with various warehouse duties, including loading and unloading goods, organizing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
- Participating in general factory work, such as assembling products, packaging, and quality control inspections.
- Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols to guarantee a safe working environment.
- Maintaining accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any issues encountered during the manufacturing process.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or factory environment is preferred, but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidates.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts (6-2 / 2-10) on a weekly basis, including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy to record and report production data accurately.
