Part-time working alternative weekends
We are seeking a friendly and motivated individual to join our team as a General Assistant in our Home Department at our Garden Centre in Harlow, Essex. The position is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer services and be meticulous to detail in terms of product placement, standards and presentation. You should be able to work on your own initiative, have a flexible approach as well as having a good eye for detail. Previous retail experience and knowledge of home or paper products would be useful but not essential.
As a General Assistant, you will be responsible for
- Engaging openly with our customers with an energetic and can-do attitude
- Creating visual and inspirational displays to help sell products
- General shop floor maintenance and housekeeping
- Assisting customers with advice and carry to car
- Organising customer deliveries
- Using the EPOS system
- Stock replenishment and merchandising
- Follow guidelines on action points following reports and floor-walks
- Print and put out POS material in the relevant areas
- Any other duties required by the Department Manager

Part-time hours: 35 per week
Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour
