Newlands Adventure Centre & Keswick Climbing Wall are looking for people to join our Team!
We are looking for staff to be able to join our team for the 2023 season and be able to start work April 2023 and work through to October 2023!
There is also potential to start finish later as well!
No Experience necessary! Just the right attitude and the ability to learn on the job!
The jobs on offer are live in positions only and come with their own small private accommodation with shared staff facilities included! These are, Staff Bathroom, Laundry and Communal area with Sky T.V, DVD, Games Consoles, Small Kitchen area with Kettle, Microwave and Fridge aswell as Coffee, Tea, Milk, Bread etc provided for your use. We will also issue your own high quality Uniform to keep. Newlands has its own personal Staff WIFI across the building as well. The use of these facilities are deducted from your weekly salary.
Along with this we will also provide you with all your meals from our 5* Kitchen whether your working or if its your day off and will cover all dietary requirements. (Meals deduction from weekly salary also).
What does the Job involve?
The position has many different roles, from serving breakfast to our guests in the morning to general cleaning of the building, your mornings will be busy keeping the place looking great and keeping our guests happy!
When we have a residential groups staying, you will have your afternoons free to go have as much fun as possible! From getting involved with the activities we offer, going off on your own adventures, make the short journey into Keswick to visit the local market or relax in one of the many coffee shops or even practicing to get your qualifications to become one of our instructors! We will be encouraging you to go make the most of this incredible area you will be living in!
When we don't have residential groups in you will either be working at our café (The Hungry Heifer) at Keswick Climbing Wall, or working down at Newlands on the general upkeep and maintenance of the Building!
The Evening shifts for our General Assistants our short but busy! You will be in before 5pm to serve dinner and be typically will be done before 8pm! Plenty of time left to soak up that Lake District evening Sun or even join in the fun and games at our on-site Bar!
As you can read from the above some of your days will be busy but overall it’s a great job if you’re wanting to get out and enjoy the Lake District!
You can also be expected to work in our Kitchen alongside our Chef helping him with washing up and preparation of food. We will pay for you to be put through a Level 2 Food Health and Hygiene course.
You will have loads of free time to go have fun, take advantage of what the Lake District has to offer and make memories with people who love the outdoors just as much as you do!

Salary: £1,508.00-£1,588.00 per month
