We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to play a crucial role in our Administration Team on the Thurston Campus.
Your main duties will be to assist with providing effective and efficient administrative support to both the Attendance and Pastoral Team to include a range of general office duties including responsibility for supporting the Attendance Team in setting a high standard of student attendance and punctuality on the Thurston Campus. The duties will also include first aid (first aid training will be provided). You will need to be flexible, to have discretion and the ability to use your initiative is essential. There are many opportunities within the College not only for training and progression but also to become involved in the wider life of the College.
Who are we?
Thurston Community College is a large popular mixed comprehensive school which comprises of two distinct and specialist sites. Our Thurston Campus, for students from Year 7 to Year 11 is situated four miles east of Bury St Edmunds. Thurston Sixth; Beyton Campus is located in the nearby village of Beyton, offering a bespoke centre of excellence for students in Year 12 and Year 13.
It was recently announced that the school will be part of the School Rebuild Programme.
