The Role
General Administrative Assistant – Sir Benfro / Pembrokeshire
Davies, Williams, Norman and Robins - Agents for NFU Mutual
Part time/ 20h per week / flexible
£19,000 (pro-rata)
Location – Narberth Office

Our Pembrokeshire agency has offices in Pembroke, Narberth, Crymych, Fishgaurd and Haverfordwest, delivering NFU Mutual’s first class service and products across the region, championing an honest, personal approach to customer service.
As a General Administrative Assistant within our team, you’ll play a key role in the success of an expanding local business, ensuring the office runs like clockwork and our customers are always happy. Providing exceptional administrative support within the renewals team, ensuring timely dispatch of documentation and accurate recording keeping.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support- Process and despatch renewal documentation to specified standards
- Customer money collection and processing procedures to maintain Agency credit control
- Deliver and contribute to the effective and efficient running of the Agency
- Develop and sustain effective working relationships with customers, all members of Agency and NFU Mutual staff
- Comply with all applicable sections of the NFU Mutual General Insurance Compliance Manual for the Agency Network
- Produce correspondence to required timeframes and quality standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Skills and Experience:
Be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal. This may include writing to customers- Be able to problem solve, use own initiative and judgement
- Demonstrate attributes of honesty, integrity, due skill, care and diligence
- Be able to work under pressure
- Have a flexible open attitude
- Ability to meet targets and deadlines
- Possess good IT skills including experience of MS Office 365
Good Repute Checks
Agents are required to ensure that they and their staff are of Good Repute and are required to carry out two independent checks on all staff.
1. Basic criminality check –Basic checks show any ‘unspent’ criminal records (as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974). Once a conviction or caution is ‘spent’, it no longer shows on a basic check.
2. Bankruptcy check – to ensure that staff are not an un-discharged bankrupt.
