RPS is looking for an Analyst to join our Laboratory in Manchester. This is an analytical role based in the gas chromatography section.

What you’ll be doing
- Meet sample turnaround time requirements.
- Analyse samples using GC-FID & GC-MS in line with laboratory procedures.
- Process and interpret analytical results for entry into LIMS
- Prepare samples in line with laboratory procedures.
- Ensure quality records are maintained in line with laboratory requirements including investigation of AQC failures.
- Trouble shoot instrument issues and call-in external engineers when required to minimise equipment downtime.
Who we’re looking for
- Excellent working knowledge of GC systems
- Experience in conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting of GC systems
- Experience of working within an accredited analytical testing laboratory
- Ability to meet deadlines
