We are now looking for a Garment Technologist to join the team on a permanent contract or freelance basis.
There is flexibility regarding the hours and location of the role, hybrid or freelance working can be accommodated.

As Garment Technologist, you will play a key role in the setup and maintenance of technical standards throughout our organisation and international supply base, to ensure every garment is produced and delivered to the highest possible quality standard.
Working closely with designers, buyers and the production team, you will provide technical support at all stages of the product lifecycle from design through to manufacture and delivery.
You will be responsible for the instruction of technical standards with suppliers, management of fitting and sample sealing processes, as well as management of internal and 3rd party QA and QC processes.
This is a varied and challenging role calling for a confident communicator with meticulous attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be well organised and flexible, a good team player with a methodical approach and the ability to meet deadlines.
The role will involve regular travel to visit suppliers, this is critical to set and maintain standards, as well as to build strong relationships with their teams.
About You
The role will require the successful candidate to have:
- A strong technical knowledge of garment construction, patterns and fabrics, as well as a clear understanding of the production processes within apparel construction.
- Experience setting and achieving quality standards across a variety of product categories.
- Experience developing and approving size specs, ensuring consistency of sizing is achieved across all suppliers.
- A strong understanding of grading in Menswear.
- Experience in risk assessment of products in terms of safety and any required testing.
- Experience working to tight deadlines, to meet production led critical paths.
