About the role:

Scaled on amazing organic social traction, we’ve matured into a business with a multi-faceted performance marketing strategy across multiple channels, which crucially includes influencer and affiliate marketing. Off the back of our success, we closed a seed round with world class funds and are in a period of extraordinary growth.
This full time role (also open to 4 days per week) is the perfect opportunity for a Garment Technologist experienced in activewear to make their mark within a fast-paced, scaling startup. In this role, you will own the TALA fit and garment quality, working across all product categories ensuring products are sealed on time according to the critical path and quality standards are clearly communicated to and achieved by all suppliers. KPIs will include low returns and high customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the product team, reporting into the Head of Design.
Tasks
Day to day you will:
- Take ownership of the fit meetings, working with the product team to ensure all styles are fitted on time (according to the critical path).
- Provide the suppliers timely and accurate technical information and feedback at each stage of the development cycle, to ensure the product is fit for purpose
- Ensure that fabrics are suitable for their end use through wearer trials, reviewing the fabric specifications and approving the test reports
- Sign off graded specs, checking grading prior to production
- Analysing any quality issues and customer returns
- Ownership of the care label process
- Managing the AQL inspection process and working with ops team to ensure AQL’s are processed efficiently
- Maintain and manage factory audits and the certifications database
- Build strong relationships across the supply base. Including factory visits.
You should:
- Have a minimum of 5 year’s experience as a women’s garment technologist
- Previous experience within sportswear and seamless product
- Knowledge of garment engineering and pattern construction
- An in depth understanding of yarns and fabric types and their properties
- Be comfortable setting and achieving quality standards ensuring the correct fabric testing
- Be comfortable working in a startup environment: working lean and quickly, being hands on and willing to get your hands dirty, working well both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Be able to work in our office in London at least 3 days per week
