Job description

We’re looking for an experienced QC to drive and control the quality of all products in line with the approved standards. You will work with internal teams in our warehouse to maintain and improve standards across the supply chain.

This is an opportunity to join a friendly team within a well-established, multi product supplier. This is a well-structured business with scope for long term progression.

The role is permanent and is based in our main office working 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday inclusive.

Key responsibilities:
  • Set up and monitor a full QC solution throughout the supply chain and in the warehouse using the AQL process and sampling method.
  • Carry out 100% QC check on production deliveries to ensure the quality standard is achieved consistently.
  • To hit daily inspection targets as set by the QA Manager.
  • Circulate audit results and quality issue reports daily for improvement and commercial action solutions.
  • Record and investigate customer complaints and create corrective action plans with the relevant factories.
  • Work with the technical team to drive garment quality and maintain a clear record.
  • Support the commercial team and client with aftercare technical expertise.
  • Work with the supply base to achieve best practices and technically superior products in line with cost parameters.
  • Travel to the factories for quality audits and black sealing where required.
  • Taking action on faulty goods, getting it repaired and liaising with factories.
  • Reprocessing Ecommerce and Retail returns stock.

What we are looking for:
  • Self motivated and performance driven.
  • Excellent level of IT knowledge especially Excel and Word.
  • Organized, a good team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines and to a critical path.
  • Knowledge of garment quality and control systems AQL 2.5 and 4.0 for fabric.
  • Factory process knowledge essential.
  • Knowledge of common manufacturing issues/mistakes.
  • An understanding of construction methods on clothing products. Open to learning on footwear.
  • Can confidently identify major and minor faults within an AQL process and commercial acceptance.
  • Has a clear understanding of commercial quality levels within a premium brand.
