Job description
Horticole is a thriving company which has a loyal client base of approximately eighty mainly in Bromley, West Wickham , South East London areas, Sevenoaks, Otford and Oxted . All of our clients are as a result of recommendations. Although our main focus centres around providing a regular high quality garden maintenance and planting service, the garden design aspect of our company is rapidly developing. We are seeking to reduce our carbon footprint year on year and are environmentally conscious in all aspects of our work.

- You will be working on self employed basis with a view to a permanent contract in the future . You must be registered as a self employed or a limited company.
- Applications will only be considered from candidates who have RHS Level 2 Practical or Theory or a similar horticultural qualification
- Applicants should be polite, personable, hardworking and punctual and should be able to work both on their own or with other gardeners
- The work includes weeding, mowing lawns, planting, pruning and clearing
- As we cover a large area, candidates should have a reliable vehicle and a clean and full driving license
- Candidates should have a sound knowledge of seasonal garden requirements and be willing to work in all weather conditions
- Applicants should have a good knowledge of horticultural tools and equipment and be aware of related health and safety issues
- Candidates should have a strong horticultural knowledge of plant health and a clear understanding of common pests and diseases together with both preventative and treatment methods
- The successful candidate will be paid £100.00 per day (6h) on a self-employed basis and should have up-to-date public liability insurance.
- The working day is six hours and we are looking for someone who is able to work for 2/3 days a week (no weekends). We can be flexible as to the days.
