Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen the appointment of an experienced, proactive and motivated Gardener to join the small but passionate gardening team that look after the gardens and grounds within the precincts of Canterbury Cathedral.
With over 1 million visitors each year to this World Heritage site, this is an excellent opportunity for a Gardener with drive and enthusiasm to play their part in making the Cathedral gardens a 'destination' of note.

The post holder will normally work 2 week days / 15 hours per week, with specific days agreed with the Head Gardener. There will also be an occasional requirement for the post holder to carry out weekend watering duties on an as and when required basis.
To join this team of dedicated gardeners, you will hold a minimum RHS Level 2 Certificate in Horticulture or equivalent, have a comprehensive knowledge and demonstrable experience in gardening, plants, techniques and health and safety, be experienced in the use of a range of garden tools and machinery and be confident in offering an insight into your role to the many differing visitors to the cathedral.
