Treves UK are a producer/manufacturer of automotive interiors and components, based in Farnham, Knaresborough, HG5 9JR. We are currently seeking an additional Gap/Team Leader to join our busy factory, leading their own team of approximately 10 Production Operators to success in producing car interior parts for our customers Nissan, BMW, Toyota and Jaguar LandRover
Missions:
- The Gap Leader coordinates the production team members to achieve QCDH targets
- To protect the Gap during any changes (to ensure any changes in production are authorised)
General activities:
- To encourage and coordinate operators to achieve GCDH objectives
- To protect the Gap during any changes
- To ensure communication and guarantee respect of the rules
Specific activities:
- To encourage and coordinate the Gap to achieve QCDH objectives in his/her Gap and protect the Gap
- To have routines to achieve the QCDH targets in his/her Gap. To pilot line QRQC.
- To manage the operators in relation to the quantity of work with the support of the supervisor.
- To follow up scrap and rework (during and at the end of the shift)
- To ensure the right daily start of production.
- To ensure the continuous accomplishment of standards in his/her gap, avoiding variation.
- To supervise the jobs of their team, giving instructions to correct any inadequate actions, according to the Standard Operating Procedures
- To ensure the communication and guarantee the respect of rules
- To be responsible for updating the Gap Board
- To communicate targets and events to the Gap Leader of the following shift
- To pilot the Top 5 meeting
- To analyse the previous day’s production results with the supervisor.
- To follow the correct application of work methods (quality, safety and environment)
- To follow up the polyvalence plan (multifunctional people).
- To train any new starters/agency staff on the line
- To manage improvement ideas for the GAP with the support of the supervisors
- To assure the mandatory safety rules in the Gap are adhered to
- To participate in accident investigations
- To assure the conformation to environmental rules within the GAP
- To manage a Gap team of around 10 people.
Skills required:
- Must have a ‘safety first’ attitude
- Some experience of managing a team would be desirable
- SAP experience
- Must be a qualified FLT driver (counterbalance truck) or willing to train
- Must be able to work in and manage a team
- Must be flexible & have a ‘can do’ attitude
- Numerate and computer literate
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £26,481.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
