Hours - 9am - 5pm / 11 am - 7 pm / 2pm - 10pm
There will be a rota in place where you will be required to work a mixture of week days, evenings & weekends.
Location - Newton Aycliffe
Salary - Starting at minimum wage and will be reviewed annually.
Key Role - To work within our gaming centre, assisting customers with in-store play events and any in-store purchases.
You will also be responsible for arranging organised play events, liaising with brands, creating in-store promotions, and developing new promotional ideas. Alongside this, other duties will include keeping the gaming space clean and tidy, and replenishing stock levels within the sales area of the shop.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver in-store promotions.
- Organise in-store play events for Trading Card & Collectible Card Games, Warhammer game play, Board Games, and all TCGs.
- Welcome and serve customers in a friendly manner while assisting customers with making purchases.
- Maintaining & creating a friendly and welcoming environment for families and friends to visit, play and shop.
- Comply with processes and procedures to ensure that a high standard of service is achieved to both internal and external customers.
- Managing Social Media channels to effectively promote products and in-store events.
- Creating marketing campaigns to promote the store and drive sales.
- Replenishing stock levels and maintaining the standards of the store e.g. (sanitising customer & staff areas, vacuuming the store).
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in a Customer Service background
- Experience with some of the brands we sell is a must (Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!), although further training will be provided
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build instant customer rapport
- Handle customer questions and complaints efficiently and politely
- Ability to work quickly with confidence and be adaptable to change
- Work well under pressure
- Follows procedure to resolve customer problems
- Identifies and sells to customer needs
- High level of communication skills both verbal and written
- Work closely with other departments to drive continuous improvements
- Proficient computer skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £6.83-£9.50 per hour
