Introduction:
Major UK programmes such as Apache, Chinook, C-17, P-8A and Wedgetail are supported and delivered by Boeing Defence UK (BDUK), a subsidiary of The Boeing Company. The Gladiator Project will provide the Royal Air Force with a ground breaking training environment that eventually all Royal Air Force full flight simulators will connect into, providing individual team collective training using high end war-games. The environment Gladiator provides requires a continuously developing portfolio of 3D and behavioural models to provide realistic gaming entities within the simulation. The successful applicant will join a small team of modellers, crafting the 3D Graphic models and the sophisticated behavioural models for All entities used within this gaming environment.

Responsibilities:
To work within our existing Synthetic Environment Service (SES) team, coordinating with our technical lead and end-users to help deliver quality real-time 3D content and Entities.
It will involve working with end-users to help scope Entities/Models right through to delivery of the solution to the customer and acceptance.
Development of 3D Visual models to represent Objects that may be seen within a Synthetic Environment (Aircraft, Buildings, Vehicles, etc)
Crafting switch and animation states for 3D Models.
Creation and modification of textures within GNU Image Manipulation Program.
Set up of internal entity systems for use on VR-Forces, to include Weapon systems, Radars, Infra-Red, etc
Configuration of fixed wing lib and EWAWS systems using RT Dynamics products.
Lua scripting for Behavioral programming.
Verification and Validation of created content.
Review of peers work
Management of system configuration using GIT and PDQ
The successful candidate will have knowledge of some of the following:
Knowledge of Modelling for 3D Real-time Application and modeling in Open flight format
Knowledge of Physics Based rendering techniques for 3D models
Geographic information systems (GIS) application knowledge
3D graphics development using Presagis Creator
Software Development
C++
Lua Scripting

Have worked with or have an interest in the Military
