Job description
As a creative games designer or technical games developer, you will deliver successful Learning Experience (LX) deliveries . You will plan, create and review delivery material to improve performance and learner experience. Your role will span the following key areas of responsibility: Delivery, Content Creation & Assessments.
Delivery
- Demonstrate concepts in the Unity game engine
- Demonstrate how to make 3D models in Blender
- Facilitate Game Jams
- Specialism in sound, lighting, mechanics, aesthetics, optimisation or narratives
- Provide one-to-one support to learners to increase successful outcomes
- Provide first-line support for answering learner queries
- Report to the Programme Tutor on all aspects of delivery performance
Content Creation
- Prepare Game Demos in Unity
- Research technical and professional topics to develop and enhance materials
- Create and develop core delivery material for a range of learning products
- Create and develop supporting material for a range of learning products
- Curate and tailor required instances of material for each delivery
- Work with assessors and LX Designers to develop assessments
- Review delivery effectiveness and continually improve content
Assessments
- Uphold organisational policies and best practice in relation to assessment
- Assure the integrity of assessment and provide invigilation where required
- Provide first-line protection against plagiarism
- Monitor assessment submissions and report to the Programme Tutor
