One of London's leading portable escape game companies is looking to expand its freelance database of game facilitators.
Perhaps you’re a yoga teacher looking for a side challenge? Maybe you excel at customer-facing service? Or maybe you just enjoy making someone smile. But you are confident with groups - and making their day.
We’re looking for confident, personable individuals to facilitate in-person, portable escape rooms for various corporate clients across London. All you need do is deliver a spy-fi-themed game to a pre-set destination, set it up and start it, and support players with strong customer-facing skills, before returning from a mission well done. No acting skills required - just a strong eye for detail, be at ease with technology and a love of people as you think on your feet.
Description:
As a game facilitator, you are expected to reset and prep the game kit before and after each game. Our in-person games are designed to fit within a portable case, and you must be able to transport this case to the client, set this up in their venue and run the game, then finally transport the case back to its next location.
You will be required to undertake training on the game (approx 1 hour), and have a good understanding of the game mechanics, as you will be required to assist the clients with the game during the experience.
You must have the following skills and experience, excellent customer service skills, Corporate hospitality/ host work experience, the ability to think on your feet/ improvise, good organisational skills, reliable communication skills and punctuality. You may even decide to get into character a little.
Games mostly take place in London, however on occasion, games might take place elsewhere in the UK/ EU. Other, occasional duties might include short-term storage of games kit and additional transportation of kits to non-games locations.
Our games last either 1 hour or 2 hours depending on if it's a virtual game or an in-person game. A 30 min prep time before and after is also required. The most participants you are expected to run a game for is 35 people.
Requirements:
- You must have PLI - Public liability insurance (and/or a valid equity membership)
- You must be registered as self-employed.
- You must be based in London
- Must have a smartphone and be comfortable with technology.
Pay ranges from £55 - £120, per in-person game, £25 - £35, per game for virtual. All of our games facilitators work on a freelance basis and games are available to choose on a flexible first come first serve basis.
