Job description

ACM’s Vision:

ACM will incubate potential and talent, supporting the personalised development needs of our students to facilitate a structured path from education to employment.

We provide a safe and supported space where creative talent and imagination can flourish in a caring environment. Barriers to learning are identified through a holistic and person-centred approach to unlock the potential of the individual, enabling personal growth through professional and academic development. Our core aim is for our students to enjoy lifelong sustainable careers underpinned by applied learning and a specialist, cutting-edge curriculum.

Therefore, our vision is to not only be the leader in applied, industry-connected, creative arts education but to also be the leader in care and support for mental health and other traditional barriers to learning, thereby driving up the standards expected within higher and further education.

ACM’s Mission:

To provide an immersive student experience, with a curriculum which is connected to the industry in real-time, based on a learning by doing ethos. Our core aim is to build confidence and self-awareness, providing students with the skills necessary to recognise and take opportunities.

Ultimately our mission is to enable students to fulfil their potential and enjoy a sustainable career within the creative arts industry.

ACM, a specialist creative industries provider, is seeking experienced academics/ creative industries professionals for a variety of hybrid full-time and part-time lecturing roles across our many subject areas in London, Birmingham, and Guildford.

We are recruiting for teaching roles in our games department, particularly for those who specialise in:

  • Agile project management
  • Game design
  • Programming (C#, C++) within Unity and Unreal Engine
  • AR and VR
  • Business and entrepreneurship

But we welcome all applications with an industry background.

All applicants should have a good track record in their chosen field, ideally with experience working in the industry for a number of years. If you’re interested in a role within the classroom environment, you should also have prior experience of sharing your knowledge with others, ideally in a teaching role.

The salary offered will be commensurate with experience and based on the role.

ACM has campuses in London, Birmingham and Guildford, delivering a mixture of on-site and online learning. Our innovative curriculum model includes the UK’s first accelerated degree programme with integrated Masters qualification and pioneering short-courses.

Furthermore, ACM is a proud member of UKIE and TIGA, in addition to having various partnerships that provide industry connections and involvement in student-centric initiatives such as Tranzfuser.

We are looking for people who can add their own excellence in their chosen field to enhance our creative industries education environment even further.
