Job description
Choice Housing Trust is a not-for-profit organisation that has been around since 2004, providing supported housing for hundreds of people experiencing homelessness in Sheffield.
We are aiming for excellence in all we do, and to help meet this aim we are now recruiting for an experienced Fundraising Co-ordinator to secure funding for our innovative homelessness projects. - Current projects include providing support to residents who are survivors of domestic abuse, support for people experiencing mental health issues, and people recovering from substance dependency.
The Fundraising Co-ordinator will be responsible for developing a fundraising strategy, researching possible funding opportunities, preparation and submission of grant applications, crowdfunding appeals, tendering for contracts, corporate and individual sponsorship, and raising awareness of our work via social media campaigns.
This will be a challenging role that requires someone who is bold and ambitious in their professional fundraising capacity, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and has a genuine desire for helping some of the most vulnerable people in society.
We are seeking a fundraiser who already has experience of conducting successful fundraising campaigns and grant applications, and is aware of the various forms of funding that may be available. We would expect the successful candidate to already have completed some fundraising training, although further training will also be provided.
The successful candidate MUST have excellent communication skills in English, legible handwriting, attention to detail, and a high standard of office IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Dropbox).
Previous knowledge, interest, or experience, of homelessness projects is not essential, but may be advantageous.
