Position: Oracle EBS Business Systems Analyst

Location: Remote – Local to Reston, VA HQ always preferred and would be tie breaker, if not local, will need to fly in for final interview (Verisign covers all costs)

Duration: 6 months Contract-to-Hire

Background check?: Yes, conducted by Verisign

Vaccination required?: No

Interview Process/# of Rounds: 2 rounds max. Onsite to meet with Verisign (They will fly in remote folks)

Including Notes from previous BSA roles we have worked:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years hands-on experience of implementing and supporting Oracle EBS ERP by gathering requirements, configurating EBS, writing and executing test cases, managing deployments.
• This is not a development position, but analyst should have a strong EBS Configuration experience
• Development experience is key (for a successful candidate)—they are not coding, but they know how to code/can read code, understand how things work, so they know how to capture requirements correctly. They will not have access to make any code changes. They will have access and are expected know configuration.
• Strong understanding and/or exposure to managing web applications, services and interfaces based on middleware using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Advanced knowledge of working with SOX systems in an environment that requires discipline in terms of Change Management and Information Security
• Experience of working on multi-org financial structure with strong background of conversions and restructuring entities
• Strong financial background (OTC, PTC, RTR, PTP, etc.)
• A team player with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated and a quick learner.
• This is a techno-functional role – customer facing with biz owners/users, translating needs to Dev Team
• Must be able to thrive in a chaotic environment – identify the issues, write biz requirements, convert tech document so developers can understand and implement
• They need a great communication/go getter attitude. 0 time for handholding. This person will drive the process so organized, proactive, roll up their sleeves and get to work
• Candidates missing the mark: not good at requirement gathering, don’t actually have hands on experience

Job Description:

Verisign is currently looking for a Technical Business Systems Analyst with a strong hands-on ERP experience in the Financials space that would provide functional and technical support to internal business customers. This person will also capture functional requirements and use them to produce detailed functional specifications, test strategies, project plans and provide implementation and post-production support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide industry best practices in the design and configuration of new processes in Oracle R12 EBS application for Financials - RTR, PTP, OTC tracks and other key processes and areas based on prior experience
• Create plans and manages both small and large project initiatives to assure goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframe
• Communicate and track progress toward company and departmental goals and initiatives and ensure team responsibilities are communicated
• Leverage deep understanding of business and technology and collaborate with other groups to ensure that the end-to-end solution delivered to the customer exceeds expectations
• Drive the upgrades and patching of Oracle, cloud, web or mobile applications in the organization
• Work with business users to resolve customer problems with software applications using trouble shooting skills and functional expertise
• Ensure all supported solutions are kept updated on the Information Security standards as well as adhere to SOX compliance
• Develop test strategy and author test plans as required for application releases, enhancements and patches
• Leverage prior test automation experience to design automated testing where feasible
• Drive automation and innovation where possible to streamline internal or external business processes
• Perform fit-gap analysis and develop solutions with business process improvement recommendations
• Write high quality functional specifications and key design decision documents for all projects undertaken
• Participate in and contribute to all phases of systems development; including requirements, design, development, client training, data conversion, testing and maintenance to achieve the successful development and implementation of the customer's business systems
• Create high quality presentations to put forth challenges and potential solutions to bring about quick resolutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology or related field
• 8+ years of experience with implementing and supporting ERP, web applications, services and interfaces across the financials functional area
• Working experience of Sarbanes Oxley processes and controls, preferably in a high-tech environment
• Comfortable working in a complex integrated systems landscape
• Responsive to customer needs and highly motivated to improve the skills and capabilities of the organization
• Experience on HR, or internal corporate systems tracks is a plus

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
