Job description
We are looking for an experienced Full-Time Hotel Receptionist for our 4 star serviced accommodation in the city centre.
The ideal candidate will be smartly presented, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be capable of working on their own initiative, computer literate (proficient in Excel/Word etc), confident, well organised and have an eye for detail. The candidate will have the opportunity to assist and take on greater responsibilities as the business expands.
You will be required to work 5 days out of seven (approximately 30-35 hours in total) so flexibility is key. You will need to be available to cover extra shifts for holiday or sickness. Shift pattern is normally from 11am-6pm Monday-Sunday although this may vary according to business requirements.
Immediate start is required.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Dealing with enquiries for accommodation
- Negotiating Rates with potential customers
- Checking guests in and out
- Taking payments and compiling guests’ bills
- Upselling
- Ensuring that all guests enjoy their stay fully
- Answering, screening and directing calls
- Replying to emails in a courteous and professional manner
- Balancing shift takings
- General administrative and clerical support
- Prepare letters and documentation
- Updating the rates and availability on various online booking websites
- Dealing with complaints and problems that may arise quickly and efficiently
- Tidy and maintain the reception area
- Social Media updates
- Communicate with management to highlight areas of concern or identify potential leads
- Monitor housekeeping staff to ensure suites are immaculately presented
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour
