Job description
FULL TIME KENNEL ASSISTANT - Experience of working with Rescue Dogs is Essential.
We are currently seeking to recruit a full time Kennel Assistant, who is committed to providing an excellent standard of care to our rescue dogs.
The successful candidate must have :
1 year minimum experience working with rescue dogs
A genuine interest in canine welfare is essential
Team player skills
Practical hands-on, can-do and a hard-working approach to work
Excellent time-keeping and attendance to work
Valid driving licence with own transport arrangements
40 hours a week on a rota pattern, including every other weekend and bank holidays
Duties will include:
Caring for dogs with a confident, patient and kind approach
Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kennels
Assisting in administering of appropriate health-care treatments
Working with dogs to gain their trust and confidence
Liaising with members of the public who express an interest in re-homing a rescued dog
