A new opportunity has arisen to support our absence management teams. We are looking to add several people who are skilled in stakeholder management on a 6 month FTC basis (with the potential to be extended for exceptional performance). The role will operate on a hybrid basis and will involve travel to units across the Anglia region in line with business needs.



About the Role



In this role you will partner with several Units and Customer Operations Managers with a focus on driving significant improvement across the absence scorecard. You will provide tailored ER support, advice and coaching (on site or virtual as appropriate) to target high impacting units within the area.



You will also:



  • Provide a professional case management service across a full range of Absence related case work
  • Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders to establish and manage HR and business processes, in order to ensure robust and consistent absence management standards
  • Influence, coach and develop Customer Operations Managers in good practice through sharing and showing best practice and providing feedback
  • Provide a professional and operational HR consultancy service to Customer Operations Managers in relation to absence management, to ensure inception through to closure of each attendance case
  • Ensure fair, transparent case management and consistently high standard of professionalism in engaging with all parties
  • Provide professional input to all cases across Regional Operations Director area, to ensure compliance with current legislation, RMG policy, processes and best practice
  • Identify trends and areas of good practice and improvement for sharing organisation–wide, in order to develop and improve processes, systems and Customer Operations Manager capability in relation to absence management

About You



You already have a good level of experience with the managemnt of employee abscene and are willing to develop an in-depth, practical understanding of Royal Mail's Attendance policy and processes.



You should also have:



  • The ability to coach, train and upskill managers to ensure sustainable improvement across their absence scorecard
  • Strong verbal and written language skills to allow communication with a variety of contacts of differing disciplines, grades and roles
  • The ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders to influence decision making, build relationships and communicate effectively
  • Ensuring absence management processes are carried out with regard to best practice, in line with current legislation to meet set targets
  • The ability to question and analyse data
