About us

Tango Logistics Ltd. is headquartered in Swindon. We provide parcel delivery solutions to nationally recognised carriers in the South West, South and Wales.

We have a fantastic team of agile drivers, some with fixed routes they cover most days, and some that like to move between depots and routes.

We are transparent from the off, you can be sure of that. Too many companies have given our sector a bad reputation, we are changing this.

We're not going to lie, margins are tight in the sector, but we pay above average, provide a van as well as a monthly bonus that 2 drivers do actually receive - it's not dependent on us or other members of the team. You'll also receive a fuel card, and if your commute to and from the depot is local, we'll cover the fuel for that too.

All our positions are long-term with a self-employed contract, unless stated otherwise.

You may be looking for something new, like working outdoors or may be a delivery driver seeking a new company to work with. Whatever your reason, we at Tango will ensure we find a route that matches to you and your life. Full, paid, training will be given.

We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to deliver parcels and packages in the Bridgwater region. You will be given a van, rent free, electric or diesel, and will be expected to complete your route in the same area for at least 5 days a week.

Some drivers may want a 6th day and can expect to earn up to £40k per annum. We provide a fuel card, and if you live locally we can cover the fuel for the commute to and from the depot.

On-boarding process:

• 1. Apply for this position
• 2. We will contact you within 8 hours to arrange a telephone interview
• 3. During the interview we will get to know you better, let you know what we expect and potentially make an offer
• 4. We will need scans or photos of your documents
• 5. Full training will be provided
• 6. We will have a further chat once you have completed your training to organise a start date, route, van, fuel card and uniform.

We will provide ongoing support until you are fully dependent.

How to be a good delivery driver:

• You will need to be patient, we encourage you to take your time at the start as you familiarise yourself with the depot, your van and route.
• Study your area, get to know the postcodes, it won't be long before you stop using the maps and remember the roads, shortcuts and customers.
• Take care of yourself and your van - eat well, check your van daily.
• Time management - arrive on time, spend five minutes going through your route to ensure it's optimised.
• Remember the processes and procedures, don't force a delivery.

You will be a problem solver, not just a delivery driver. You may need to call a customer to get directions, you may need to deliver the parcel at the back of a house, in a garage or somewhere else as requested by the customer.

This is a long-term position, we aim to create long-term, stress free relationships with our drivers that lead to more balanced lives.

Please note:

• This is a self-employed position - our accountancy partners can support you with a UTR number and completing end of year documentation.
• By using our accountancy partners, you can increase your income by an extra 10% using the VAT Flat Rate Scheme - if you are new to this visit the government website https://www.gov.uk/vat-flat-rate-scheme - £40k could become be £44k.
• We pay weekly, but hold a 2 week deposit.
• You will be given a contract.
• Monthly bonus to 2 standout drivers, guaranteed every month!
