General Summary of Position:
EPIK was founded in 2017 as an innovative POTS replacement solution for companies struggling with rising costs of traditional telephone connectivity. EPIK allows legacy phone systems that rely on old copper connections (fire alarms, HOA secure entry, fax) to connect via a 4G wireless connection. EPIK was acquired by Granite Telecommunications in 2021 to augment Granite’s portfolio of innovative telecom solutions. The Granite EPIK solution has become the industry standard. We are seeking multiple MERN Full Stack Developers from Entry Level to fully proficient in MERN stack to become an integral part of our R&D and Product Development team located in Irvine, CA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create high quality tools that will help produce, deploy, enhance, and support the EPIK Edge Product
- Integrate tools with other 3rd party systems via API’s to automate processes and the transfer of data
- Collaborate with EPIK R&D to improve automation and user experience
- Participate in daily stand-ups, weekly calls, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and design meetings
- Self-learn, to keep up with fast-moving cloud technologies, schedules, and deliverables
- Learn tools and processes to improve/facilitate development activities
- Analyze requirements to translate into technical solutions
- Proactively communicates status of projects and releases
- Apply appropriate skills to analyze, identify, and resolve technical problems
- Documenting application changes and developing updates
Required Qualifications:
- Experience as a full-stack developer in MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js)
- Knowledge and experience with MongoDB
- Knowledge of and experience developing REST API
- Have the ability to find effective software solutions that deliver feature-rich capabilities
- Have good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Have a good understanding of object-oriented design and design principles
- Have the Ability to learn/dive into the technology trends and explore them in practice to implement POC
- Ability to work in a team environment and be willing to do what is needed for the success of the team
- Experience operating at all levels of the stack, debugging problems from UI to backend systems
- Working knowledge in Git
- Ideal candidates will show excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with an enthusiastic attitude to support and resolve problems
- Experience working in Telecommunications and familiarity with VoIP or ATA technologies a plus but not required
- Familiarity with GitHub and Jira
