ruits in the City has been operating for over 13 years and is a busy workplace fruit delivery company specialising in providing the finest fresh fruit boxes and baskets to healthy conscious workplaces across central Scotland.

We are looking to recruit an energetic and faultlessly reliable part time fruit packer to join our packing team in the Granton area of Edinburgh.

The hours are part-time. You must be available to work Monday (days) on Bank holiday weeks.

Please DO NOT apply if you cannot commit to Sunday work.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Full training provided for the role.

The position involves:

· Packing customer orders in the appropriate fruit box/basket and labelling as appropriate

· Paying strict attention to presentation and fruit quality control at all stages of the process

· Understanding of fruit quality standards

· Adhering to customer order requirements

· Keeping the pack house clean, tidy and safe at all times.

· Working and communicating well as part of a team

· Managing stock levels and basic reporting

Essential skills:

· Excellent eye for detail and a quick learner

· Ability to work in an efficient, tidy and timely manner

· Experience of fresh produce advantageous but not essential

· Physically fit and able to move loads of 20kg

· Punctual, faultlessly reliable and able to take instruction

· Positive ‘can do’ attitude

· Trustworthy

· Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

· Eligible to work in the UK.

Hours:

Sunday - 9.15am to 3pm (or when all orders complete) *

Monday – 5.45pm to 8.15pm approx (or when all orders complete)*

* Moves to a Monday and Tuesday on appropriate Bank holiday of which you will be advised in advance of which you must be available.

Hours expected to increase as business grows

Pay: £10.50 per hour (meets National Minimum wage brackets)
