FRTB Product Control Business Analyst
London
As a Barclays FRTB Product Control Business Analyst, you will design and execute specific initiatives as part of the broader programme delivering Fundamental Review of Trading Book (FRTB) related change within Finance. Aligned to the Product Control Finance Transaction Cycle, this is an exciting opportunity to be “hands on” in transformation activities including design of future state, planning, execution, process assessment and mapping, communications, analysis, and future state operating model/process design and execution.

What will you be doing?
- Understanding implications of the FRTB programme / strategy for Finance and focus on delivering near and long-term milestones
- Co-ordinating, planning and/or performing analysis and testing tasks for one or more components of the programme/strategy streams
- Performing detailed process base-lining exercises, covering process design, performance, review of documentation
- Working closely and collaborating with leads/stakeholders to facilitate engagement with senior PMO, Finance Line, Risk, and IT colleagues to plan, discuss and implement change
- Identifying issues and risks of implementing the programme / strategy as they become apparent and present options and proposed solutions for discussion
- Utilising Agile techniques to ensure high visibility to stakeholders and continuous delivery through sprint cycles
- Challenging IT to ensure designs are addressing the user requirements and the root cause and identifying and suggesting improvements to scope or design
- Supporting other Finance/Product Control teams in day to day or ad hoc requirements as needed
- Degree educated from a top tier institution; qualified Accountant
- Business analysis and problem-solving skillset; including data manipulation skills including Excel
- Developed interpersonal skills – ability to build and maintain networks across the organisation
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; Ability to produce high quality management information and documentation for various forums
- Broad financial services experience with knowledge of Finance process, systems, and technologies
- Projects and processes: project and programme planning and management and process management skills and techniques
- Robust understanding of investment banking/markets front to back system infrastructure and Product Control processes
- Product Control experience including SME knowledge of P&L Explain, Back testing and Valuations processes
