Job description
We are looking for an experienced full time front of house person to join our friendly but lively village pub, situated on the buzzy village square of Eynsham.
The Red Lion reopened last March with a new family run team and a focus on bringing back to the community a traditional pub offering. We are quickly gaining a well deserved reputation for good quality, freshly cooked food, a well kept and extensive drinks offering and lively pub evenings including live music, discos, and community events. We cater for villagers and visitors alike and have a function room and sunny beer garden. We also welcome dogs and children.
You must have experience of working in a pub or bar and be familiar with all aspects of bar, cellar and food service management. We are looking for someone that with minimal training will be able to run the floor and bar automously as well as provide a good impression and training for less experienced staff and trainees.
Working in hospitality is hard work with long hours with mostly weekend and evening shifts. Please do not apply if you are shy of this! You must be happy to chat to our customers and make them feel welcome at all times, even when the pressure is on! However we have lots of fun here and look after our staff who recieve holiday pay, pension, regular breaks, cash and card tips and food on duty.
Although we are ideally looking for somone who would like to commit to our team and work fulltime we will consider part time employees with the right skills and fit.

NB. Unfortunately as we are a family living at the pub there is no live in opportunity. However we are happy to help with finding local accommodation if necessary.
The S1 bus from Oxford, Carterton, Witney stops regularly all day and night right outside the pub and there is free parking avaliable at the pub.
