New Holgate Hotel
We are developing something very special in York and will be spending £2m on buying and refurbishing the property at 106-108 Holgate Road and turning it into a stylish boutique hotel, New Holgate.
Our Mission
We promise 12 stunning and individually designed rooms as well as dining options for both guests and local residents. Overnight stays will range from £200 to £300, with options including Double Suites, Luxury Suites and Family Suites with hot chocolate machines and gaming stations.
We are reimagining hospitality internationally, creating great ROI, driving commerciality with creativity and innovation. We put service at the heart of everything we do, partner with local suppliers, all within a 20-mile radius, we have 1GB broadband across the building, we are fully sustainable and strive to cut our carbon footprint to zero.
Located with private parking, in the residential area of Holgate, the hotel is within walking distance of the train station, York Racecourse and many of York’s leading attractions.

Front of House Team Member
As a ‘Front of House Team Member’ you’ll be on the front line, delivering on our mission!
You’ll understand the importance of a fantastic first and last impression to the happiness of our guests. You’ll be passionate with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support your team to meet your goals and keep the department running smoothly. You’ll have high standards when it comes to guest experience and brand standards and you’ll take ownership and pride in your work.
Key duties
- Greeting guests
- Setting & cleaning tables for service
- Clean down & reset dinning areas after service
- Serving food & beverages in a professional manor with high levels of customer service
- Dealing with customer complaints
- Preparing bills & taking payments
- Available to work when the team and customer needs you most
You will have a strong hospitality background, preferably with the experience of working within a similar luxury hotel, have the passion and energy for a challenge and be solutions oriented.
You will never falter on striving for exceptional quality and standards. You’ll have a love for delivering amazing customer service.
You’ll be personable with excellent communication skills and have high expectations of yourself and others. You’ll demonstrate your passion by effortlessly engaging with guests, delivering on your promises and inspiring those around you.

Salary dependant on experience
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 8-30 per week
Salary: £7.21-£10.50 per hour
